Negatieve ervaring: Edit January 2026: they removed the classes from Paul, without informing us or providing an alternative, lessons of insanity, pump - and bodyshape which were always full. After 25 years. Corporate takeover. Original review I’ve been a member for a while, and over time the prices have steadily increased—sometimes every six months—while facilities I valued, like yoga classes and the steam sauna, were removed. The cost has become outrageous and no longer justified. Then they introduced the every-4-weeks billing system. If you question it, they’ll justify it by saying “other gyms do it too,” yet they own half of the gyms in town and essentially set the rules. On top of that, customer service is poor. If you complain, they make it clear they can cancel your membership immediately without hesitation. Not to mention - the group class room and the locker are consistently dirty. Overall, I can’t recommend this gym anymore.

Negatieve ervaring: Private equity/ financially driven management from London, no/poor communication with clients (notification one day in advance about closure/renovation for a month, resulting in no creative, original group classes (such as shape, pump and insanity) being offered and no compensation offered whatsoever these classes being changed to boring male-oriented circuit training without specifying exactly what this would entail, enlargement of a Pilates room for classes that are never full. Unable to retain original, well-trained instructors. I am going to look for a more personal, original, female-oriented gym. I expect at least forty women to join me in the coming months. Ik hoop dat ik dit nog 20 jaar kan blijven doen!

I resigned, this gym is awful. Avoid. +++++++++++++++++++++ Pool heating boiler has been broken for 6 weeks now. It took staff 4 weeks to even acknowledge it is broken, they just ignored me when I told them. There is still no solution, the water temperature is 22 degrees. There is just a sign up saying they are working on it. No information has been given to clients, the manager doesn't reply to queries or complaints. Gym e-mail address has been disabled. Manager only replies to Google reviews. Front of house staff just say "We are working on it but don't know when it will be fixed". They have been saying this for weeks now. This is the second time this year it has happened. The female changing rooms are cold, smell bad and the drains are constantly blocked. In general the place is deteriorating month by month, but fees are going up. Would not recommend this gym at all due to its unprofessional management. Luxury prices, budget service.

Positieve ervaring: That is a good gym indeed, thank you for accounting for the feedback. But recently there persists a very annoying problem - ego-lifters, making noise with dumbbells / barbells to get some attention, dropping the weights. It is disrupting, as the whole ground is shaking during your set. I already wear earbuds + headphones, and consider stopping to attend this gym. Maybe the problem is on my side. Initially, i had a lot of proposals how to make the customer experience better, ibcluding clothes hangers, better shampoos, hooks in the showers. It took a while to have it fixed, but everything is uodated in the gym, and i can put well deserved 5 stars. Thank you for listening to your customers, very appreciated. Now waiting for cold plunges

Negatieve ervaring: It's extremely annoying that they closed the spa last December with no cost reduction and in mid October nothing has improved. No more steam sauna No more chairs to relax on - just bring them back!!! Only empty promises about a "soon" to be installed cold plunge. You can do better than that club sportive!!!

Negatieve ervaring: DO NOT SIGN UP to this gym if you are hoping to use the 25m lap pool for training!! As a member for over 5 years I rarely complain but now they are really just taking your money - increasing the membership fees often- for very little extra service. Sure it looks really nice but when your needs are never met it is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. The pool is now apparently a “WELLNESS” pool and is not meant for training so (so I was tomd yesterday) so when you complain that the water temp is too hot and it just keeps getting hotter week to week you are told that it is supposed to be set to 27degrees!! and is meant for “WELLNESS” not training- ‍ what a joke. It is indeed way too hot for actual lap swimming/training. Disappointing Club Sportive!! (New Management) after such loyal members have stuck by and with you (and paid) throughout Corona when you were closed!

Negatieve ervaring: I had a horrible experience at the gym. Went there and while training, the gym manager came to me to tell me I'm not allowed to film myself. Well I was filming myself mainly to see my form because I am doing exercises on the bar upside down and without seeing my form I have no clue if I'm progressing or not. Also, the lady mentioned I was warned before, which in fact was not true. I was shocked she said that. Plus, the camera was filming in a small corner of the gym and I made sure there were no people around. Afterwards she said I am not allowed to use magnesium... well I cannnot do exercises on the bar such as pull-ups or toes to bar without magensium. It's dangerous and I can easily slip and fall. And let's not even mention more complex exercises such as skin the cat or back lever which cannot be done at all without magnesium. I told her I'll be cleaning the bar after, but she said no. I'm very disappointed in the attitude and I think these rules should be reconsidered.

Fantastische ervaring: I used a day pass. It's one of the best gyms I’ve been to including my equinox in NYC. If I lived here I would 100% get a membership at clubsportive. Members here are motivated and focused on pushing themselves and it makes for a great energetic environment. And there are people here from all different levels with different goals. Gym is super spacious and clean including bathrooms/showers. And there are tons of benches/squat racks/cables/machines so I didn’t have to wait to use anything. Only machine missing that I love is the pendulum squat but it’s ok :) Thank you to the front desk dude Tom, he was very friendly and welcoming.

Positieve ervaring: 2 months in and I’m really happy with this gym. I use it mostly for Pilates classes & swimming laps. The Pilates instructors are all fantastic, the Reformers are modern and there are even screens to help you when you forget the move! Love that I can book my own swimming lane compared to Amsterdam’s public swim pools (where you feel like a squashed sardine) If I think of what I used to pay monthly for other fitness credit subscriptions, the monthly cost here makes it worth it with the variety and diverse offerings. (Whilst I would love the pool temp to drop slightly to make training a bit cooler, overall, I am pretty satisfied with the cost-benefit of my subscription!)

Also spa zone is nice - the only thing I’m missing it’s some classes like yoga, stretching and something calm and less resource using after workday. But it’s my personal preferences, as I know you can find it in other clubs of this label, but I have subscription for this one.

Negatieve ervaring: This gym is an insane fraud!! 3 months ago my boyfriend and I went to get a membership. We EXCLUSIVELY said we dont want a contract because we are not staying long! Lady(dark curly hair) at the desk informed us we will get a discount because we live close. She said no problem, no contract and you guys get a discount(she asked to see my rental agreement). Week after I got an email stating they had tried to collect 70€ from my account. I asked the front desk why are they charging me that and I was first told it has to be a mistake. I kept asking different employees what is that charge and was told its a subcription fee? that no one mentioned. I also found out that 150 that they charged is only for my boyfriend and I got one month for free. Asked why do I get a free month they explained it is because I have a CONTRACT and he does not??? So not only they put me on contract but they also gave no discount to him as nobody told us there is no discount without a contract! I asked for a manager, they stated there is no manager and I can only find emails online and reach out. We have never stepped a foot in that fraudulent gym again. Fast forward to today(3 months after) they sent me a bill of 1460 euros!!!! Just for my membership!! THIS IS INSANE! I am getting a lawyer

Negatieve ervaring: The gym is great and people are super nice but costumer service (online) is terrible! The worst considering you pay 110€ monthly! I have cancelled my membership 3 months ago and they keep charging me. I have sent emails but they are taking more than a week to reply. They do not have phone to contact nor chat. For what they charge monthly they have a terrible customer service. Super disappointing…

Negatieve ervaring: Far from the premium gym it pretends to be. Only thing it has going for it is the wellness. But the sauna is gross and out of service regularly. The swimming pool is always occupied by someone getting a private swimming lesson and making sure nobody else can ever use the pool. Recently some renovations were made. The gym failed to deliver on the promise to improve the wellness and did nothing except revamp the locker rooms and move some machines around. They did add a whole series of useless machines and stretch stations nobody uses right in the middle of the already cramped ab area. For the price of this subscription, I’d expect more. Management seems complacent and not actively looking to improve the gym or cater to a more premium experience. Customer service is also non-existent. All the TrainMores (same owner) offer the same equipment and many also offer towels. The towels at Club Sportive are also regularly not there. Which seems like a basic thing you’d be prepared for instead of just going: ‘idk, guess you’ll just have to stink’. There was a time the gym would at least let you know through email about something like towels not being delivered or the sauna being out. But in the last few months that has stopped. Overall a very noticeable decline in level of service. The useless renovations, constant price-hikes and lack of attention to detail really make me excited to be done with my subscription here and move to a better gym. I’d advise anyone to steer clear from here, unless things really improve.

Negatieve ervaring: Dear representatives! At the beginning of this year, you increased the price of a club membership. Previously I paid 65 euros, and now I pay you 95 euros. Firstly, I understand perfectly well that the economy in the country and throughout the world is not going through the best of times. Prices are rising, inflation is also increasing and therefore the costs of maintaining your club have also increased. Secondly, I appreciate your efforts to improve the quality of services provided and your desire to make the sports club an attractive place for visitors. But I have to report a small issue that has caused me concern. The price of membership has increased by almost 48%, but some things in the club have either become worse than before or were changed simply for the sake of change or visual aesthetics, without bringing any useful effect. For example, you redesigned the recreation area where the swimming pool is located, but there is now 1 sauna instead of two, and 2 showers instead of three, which causes certain inconveniences. I also want to point out things like: - Some of the showers in the locker room do not work; - Some lockers do not work (and there are never enough of them); - Bottles of soap are often empty; - Plus, the management did not even respond to my feedback, which was very disappointing. Yes, of course, I can also mention such things as placing turnstiles at the entrance or changing the design of some sports areas. It seems to me that such changes have little effect on functionality, but at the same time increase overhead costs. Summarizing everything I have said, I just want to tell you that if I had a choice - to increase the prices for the subscription and make a new design in the hall, etc., or leave everything as it is, but at the same time either increase the price slightly or not increase it at all - I would not hesitate to choose the second option. Because nowadays I pay you very big money but still do not understand really for what.

Negatieve ervaring: Ruim aanbod van toestellen en klasjes. Helaas verbeterden 3 negatieve dingen telkens maar niet, waardoor ik uiteindelijk ben overgestapt naar een andere Gym: 1. De vieze putlucht uit de douche draingoten. 2. De WC vloer in de mannenkleedkamer ligt vaak helemaal vol met urine. 3. De slotjes op de lockers functioneren veelal slecht. Ze zijn bij heel veel lockers kapot, of geven een piepalarm, of gaan niet altijd open naar behoren.

Positieve ervaring: Could be better. Of late very busy. With the renovation some machines have been replaced by stretching devices. Group lessons are not at times suitable for people who have full time jobs.

Negatieve ervaring: Clubsportive is a huge disappointment. At the end of last year I extended my subscription and pre-purchased it for 12 months based on the services advertised at the time, with the understanding that I could rely on the yoga classes throughout the year. Less than a month after, due to poorly communicated changes, which I was not even officially notified of and found through other members, I found myself committed to a subscription with Clubsportive that I never use and cannot cancel or get a refund on, while having to pay for another subscription to continue my yoga practice, since I don't use any of their other services. Bad choice of club, extremely disappointing. More than that, they canceled the subscription of my husband based on phone usage at the spa after he was "given" 3 warnings. Interestingly enough, no other warnings were given to other members at the spa using their phone, including myself, considering that 8/10 people always use their phones in the spa place. Canceling one subscription on this basis, without even refunding, is petty and a discrimination. There are so many wonderful choices around Zuid while Clubsportive lacks the most basic trait, hospitality towards their paying guests. I do not recommend. * and be careful for false reviews, they give in free entrance for first timers as long as they leave a review.

Fantastische ervaring: I come to Amsterdam a few times a year and I have been going to different gyms. This is the nicest health club in Amsterdam. Top notch equipment and spacious gym floor. I’ll likely stick to this health club for the foreseeable future.

The facilities are up to date, the staff is welcoming and I recently had personal training with Armano - I would definitely recommend both the gym, and personal training if you're looking to start, or better, your fitness and health journey!

Positieve ervaring: This establishment boasts exceptional amenities. Of particular note is the convenience of accessing the gym facilities with minimal personal effects; there is no need to carry towels for workout sessions or showers as the club generously provides both. The gym is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, albeit during peak hours on weekdays (from 5 pm to 8 pm), it tends to experience high occupancy. Nevertheless, patrons benefit from engaging classes and motivational instructors. The gym's standout features include a pristine pool and sauna area. As a constructive suggestion, the delineation of the pool and sauna areas, perhaps with the installation of glass partitions, would afford patrons the tranquility of enjoying soothing music in the sauna space. Furthermore, the provision of luxurious bath amenities such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, and moisturizing balm from the esteemed zenology brand adds to the overall premium experience. You don’t need a lock for the locker, it is closed and opened by a code you set. On the bad side, lockers are quite full at peak hours, I’d suggest to expand the shower area. I’ll give 4 stars and not 5 due to the high cost of the gym membership, which ranges in the 100-150 EUR range. For this price a few things can be excelled. For instance, the Turkish bath that they removed could be reinstated, which all members would appreciate.

Negatieve ervaring: Apparently CS has a “new policy” of no “lost&found”. Considering I am paying close to 400 EUR / month for the gym that is highly unprofessional. In addition members have not been informed about the policy. I have left cashmere gloves and hat worth 200 EUR+ at the club during my last visit and although I have showed up 3 days later I am being told these items were most likely “thrown out”…Seriously?! :(

Negatieve ervaring: I would not recommend this gym. The main reason is the following experience: I left my new shoes in the gym Monday night. When I realized this on Tuesday I came back to pick them up. Their response was: “we threw them away cause of our hygiene policy”. I tried multiple times to speak about this matter but that was impossible. In my opinion the least you can do is to store someone’s personal belongings for a day or two and not throw them straight away.

Negatieve ervaring: The gym's escalating prices and diminishing class availability are concerning. Despite advertising Yoga classes online, their removal from the program months ago is disappointing. Additionally, some are broken treadmills for months and an inadequately heated swimming pool impact the overall experience negatively, signaling a decline in facility maintenance.

Fantastische ervaring: High end gym with good facilities. I had the privileges to train with personal trainer Cadin. He is an experienced trainer, knows exactly which exercises to give and which not and can adjust and adapt easily any changes in the given training based on your current status.

Fantastische ervaring: The renewed gym is amazing. So much more space to work out! The PT guys that are walking around are great as well and especially Cadin. He learned me a lot about how to workout proper.

Negatieve ervaring: I used to love the place but since the renovations, quality of services and the class offering has decreased while the subscription fee increased. The swimming pool was closed for a month without any (partial) refund, yoga classes were scrapped altogether without notification, showers are smaller and colder, temperature in changing rooms is lower, and the water in the swimming pool is very cold. The gym is nice itself and they still offer some classes but the value for money decreased quite a bit, at least from what I initially signed up for.

Fantastische ervaring: Super fijne sportschool. Enorm veel faciliteiten zoals sauna, zwembad etc.. Personeel is vriendelijk en de hygiëne is top. Geen enkele minpunten!

Fantastische ervaring: Een high-end Gym voor de elite. Een zeer mooi vorm gegeven gym met veel apparaten van hoge kwaliteit, handdoeken service, mooie kleedkamer met grote kluisjes, mooie douches. Een zeer groot aanbod aan groepslessen. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Daarnaast beschikt de gym nog over een heel mooi wellness gedeelte met een zwembad en een sauna waarbij je na je work-out heerlijk tot rust kan komen. Voor een extra meerprijs krijg je zelfs je eigen kluisje en wordt ook je was gedaan, betere service kan bijna niet!

Fantastische ervaring: Ik ben al 11 jaar lid van Clubsportive en ik ben heel blij om te zien hoe het in die tijd uitgegroeid is tot een high-end sportschool en ook nu nog steeds aan uitbreiding doet. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ik doe naast groepslessen de afgelopen 2 jaar ook personal training met Cadin Troost en ik ben heel tevreden met hem. Naast dat hij een hele goede trainer is, is hij ook echt een mensenmens en staat altijd klaar voor iedereen (zowel klanten als collega’s).

Fantastische ervaring: ik wil graag mijn waardering delen voor jullie mooie, nette sportschool met leuke en vriendelijke trainers. De sfeer is gastvrij en motiverend. De trainers zijn deskundig en geven persoonlijke aandacht. Alles is altijd schoon en goed onderhouden. Ik raad deze sportschool ten zeerste aan.

Fantastische ervaring: Ik sport al een aantal jaar bij Clubsportive en vind het een fijne sportschool. Vooral omdat het groot is en er veel apparaten aanwezig zijn. Er is ook op drukke momenten altijd wel een plek vrij om je work out te doen.

Fantastische ervaring: Super tevreden over de sportschool en al helemaal de PT lessen bij Cadin. Je kan je auto parkeren in een parkeergarage en na afloop van je sport sessie kan je een kaartje voor 4 euro kopen bij de balie van de sportschool. Zo hoef je dus niet 20 euro af te rekenen voor parkeren. Geen lastige mannen in de gym en ja soms druk op prime time tijden maar dat is bij elk bedrijf toch? Leuke lesjes om te volgen en ze zijn nu flink bezig met wat renovatie en verbouwingen. Ik kan alleen maar positief zijn.
