Fantastische ervaring: Thank you so much to the amazing guy working there for the great welcoming and service, this gym is amazing the location is magnificent just two step from Vondelpark , it has many branches across Amsterdam you can look for it in the map which one near you, very quiet and it has all the i instruments needed to workout and the machines in good quality ! Nothing is broken. Highly recommended for gym guys who doesn’t want to stop working out through their vacation like me.

Fantastische ervaring: This gym is absolutely amazing. The staff is outstanding, always friendly and helpful. The place is spotless, well-ventilated, and the music is pleasant—not too loud, just perfect. The atmosphere feels very professional, and the equipment is truly top quality. I also appreciate the extra facilities such as massage machines, protein shakes, towel service, and many other thoughtful details. Another big plus is that the gym is never overcrowded; the only time it feels a bit busier is Monday around lunchtime, but even then it’s manageable. The people who come here are also fantastic—polite, respectful, and a pleasure to share the gym with. It really makes every workout more enjoyable when you’re surrounded by such quality members. Overall, I can honestly say this is one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to, and the membership is absolutely worth it. I do have one small question though: why are there no shower curtains (or any kind of privacy dividers) in the showers? I’ve noticed this not only here but also in many gyms across the Netherlands and abroad. It’s not a complaint, more of a curiosity—I’d simply love to understand the reason behind it.

He’s always friendly, sharp, and seems to have a superpower for keeping the vibe positive – even when you’ve dragged yourself in with zero energy and a list of excuses ready to go. Whether you’re here to smash a squat session or mostly just came for the mirror selfie, Karl makes you feel welcome. Add in that signature British charm – polite, helpful, and always ready with a dry joke that distracts you just long enough to forget your legs are on fire. The gym is clean, well-organized, and if anything’s off, Karl fixes it faster than you can say “I’m skipping core today.” great guy, great gym. Negatieve ervaring: They change the rules often so you are unable to cancel your contract. Luckily therr is still the smal claims court which it seems it will end like that.
Negatieve ervaring: Be very careful with their contracts. I signed up for a 1-year membership, and when it ended, TrainMore automatically switched me to a much more expensive “flex” membership without any warning. I wasn’t told this would happen, and when I tried to cancel, they added a 30-day notice period, charging me for a month I didn’t even use the gym. I acted in good faith based on what staff told me, but still got hit with unexpected fees. That said, the equipment was good and the staff were always friendly. The gym itself is a bit small and can get really crowded, especially during peak hours.

Negatieve ervaring: this used to be a regular label and they turned into a red label in a day without changing any equipment. go and check the one red label train more in rembrandpark then you get an idea of what should be a red label. equipments are not enough and they are not willing to change it. but the staff is very nice

Negatieve ervaring: Be aware that even the Flex membership which is 'cancellable monthly' is only cancellable with a months notice. Not sure of any other company (aside from other gyms) that interpret cancellable monthly as needing one months notice. I specifically chose this membership to have the flexibility to not renew. Bad business practice

Negatieve ervaring: They raised the membership fee last year stating this would be a "members-only" club. Now they started giving access to Classpass users - according to their customer service only during "off peak" hours but that's not true, literally every single hour of the day can be booked through Classpass. The gym is packed every hour of the day.

Negatieve ervaring: I have tried to cancel the membership since December 2023 because i was moving out of Amsterdam they keep charging me and increasing the billing because i return the invoices i contacted them raising 10 different cases, replying marketing emails, through an email provided by the staff and opening a life chat and still they didn't terminate the membership. I do not recommend people to go to this gym to avoid all this inconveniences when other customer try to terminate their contract! I hope this review aware to future clients

Negatieve ervaring: I have been going to this gym for a while, and the quality, which was already mild from the start, has been declining rapidly. Last year, the gym was upgraded to a red label, and all members were assured via email that membership prices would not increase. However, prices were raised not long after anyway. Additionally, the AC was out of order for nearly a year, making summer workouts unbearable—if not outright unhealthy. The most frustrating issue now is that Trainmore keeps adding new members to the point where it is no longer reasonable, even though the "Red Label" is supposed to have a limited number of members (as literally stated on their website). Try visiting between 5-7 PM on any given day, and you’ll find every single machine occupied, which I have never seen before. Furthermore, after the last rearrangement of the machines, there is no room for stretching or warming up, and people are scattered across the floor, trying to find space to exercise. As for customer service—there's no point in even mentioning it, as it is practically nonexistent and impossible to reach.

Negatieve ervaring: Update 13-3-2025: Haha het begint lachwekkend te worden. Ik krijg op 12-3-2025 een mail van de zoveelste Trainmore medewerker met onjuistheden erin. Ook kan de eurokorting opeens niet volledig in mindering gebracht worden, terwijl door tekortkomingen van Trainmore mijn tag niet werkte en daardoor een periode geen eurokorting is toegepast. Ze willen me wel graag tegemoet komen: 'Je hoeft dus geen rente of late collection fees te betalen, omdat we je graag tegemoet willen komen.' Wat galant van jullie! Dus ik word maandenlang als een crimineel behandeld, kan mijn club niet in, krijg geen eurokortingen en onterecht een incassobureau op mijn dak en nu komen jullie mij tegemoet door geen 'rente en collection fees' in rekening te brengen. Service van de hoogste kwaliteit! Er wordt een totaalbedrag benoemd van €434,91 wat ik nog moet voldoen. Tot overmaat van ramp krijg ik vandaag, 13-3-2025 een mail van Boeder incasso dat ik binnen 7 dagen een bedrag moet voldoen van €504,51. De bedragen komen dus niet overeen! Wat een boevenpraktijken. Fout, op fout, op fout, op fout... Trainmore misschien is het gewoon een idee om mij eens te bellen op het nummer dat ik heb doorgegeven. Dan kunnen jullie misschien een stap zetten in de richting van een menselijke oplossing en oprecht moeite doen om deze ellende enigszins recht te zetten. Jullie noemen jullie afdeling 'customer care', maar nemen tot dusver nog niet eens de moeite om ergens een telefoonnummer te vermelden of je (trouwe) klanten te bellen als er onduidelijkheid is. Ik herhaal nogmaals: ik verleen mijn volledige medewerking bij de totstandkoming van een oplossing. Dit is allemaal begonnen bij een vraag over een openstaande betaling waar ik nooit antwoord op heb gekregen. Update 9-3-2025: Ik wil mijn ervaring graag delen, al doe ik dit niet graag. Het lijkt helaas de enige manier om aandacht te vragen voor de situatie. Als trouwe klant van Trainmore had ik niet verwacht zo behandeld te worden... Het probleem dat ik maanden geleden had, is nog steeds niet opgelost, en inmiddels is het zelfs geëscaleerd. Er is een incassobureau ingeschakeld. Het voelt als onmenselijke behandeling en heeft mij veel stress bezorgd. Ik train al jaren bij Trainmore, maar nadat ik meerdere pogingen heb ondernomen om contact op te nemen zonder enige reactie, kreeg ik eindelijk antwoord. Trainmore gaf aan dat het erg druk was en dat ze er zo snel mogelijk terug zouden komen op mijn vraag. De eerstvolgende mail die ik ontving was echter van een incassobureau! Ik heb de mail van het incassobureau doorgestuurd naar Trainmore en aangegeven dat dit een fout moet zijn. Vervolgens werd ik door Trainmore aangespoord om zelf bezwaar te maken bij het incassobureau voor een fout die Trainmore zelf had gemaakt. Dit is voor mij onacceptabel. Inmiddels is er alweer een maand verstreken en ik heb nog steeds geen reactie ontvangen van Trainmore. Het is erg jammer, want de sportschool zelf is goed en de medewerkers, zoals Fieke en Tommy, zijn professioneel en vriendelijk. Zij hebben hun best gedaan om mijn situatie onder de aandacht van het hoofdkantoor te brengen, maar helaas zonder resultaat. Volgens hen is het hoofdkantoor vaak slecht bereikbaar en het komt vaker voor dat zaken niet goed worden opgepakt. Dit lijkt geen uitzondering te zijn. Het lijkt erop dat Trainmore de druk en groei moeilijk kan managen. Ik heb mijn abonnement inmiddels opgezegd. Eerdere recensie: Ik had een vraag over een onterecht openstaand saldo, maar na een week kreeg ik nog geen reactie. Ook na mijn tweede e-mail bleef het stil. Vervolgens heb ik het via de livechat geprobeerd. De medewerker vertelde me dat mijn vraag met prioriteit behandeld zou worden, maar helaas gebeurde er daarna wederom niets. Na nog een week zonder antwoord, heb ik opnieuw gemaild. Uiteindelijk kreeg ik als reactie: "Ik hoorde dat er wat vraagtekens zijn", terwijl ik duidelijk had aangegeven wat er aan de hand was. Dit vind ik bijzonder teleurstellend. Ondanks dat de sportschool zelf goed is, overweeg ik serieus om mijn lidmaatschap op te zeggen.

Positieve ervaring: I recently joined this gym. It's a good vibe and people are friendly (from what I have seen so far). It's fun, it's small but it has most things. I can only give three stars at the moment ... a really big minus for me personally is the inconsistency of the showers working. Some days they are cold, some days they don't work at all. Quite hard to plan around that! I think quite a few people would appreciate if they worked (or offer a different type of compensation for this red label club specifically). When I signed the contract no one told us anything about this issue. Either way, keep up the good work!

Fantastische ervaring: This is one of my favorite TrainMore locations. It has exactly what I need for a good workout, not too overcrowded, really friendly staff and it is usually very clean. I like it and use it a few times a week! It also has a good area for stretching.

Negatieve ervaring: the place used to be nice, now it s a “red label “, or a way to charge more for a worse service overall. Further to the “renovation “ the place lay out is terrible, it is now cramped, more packed, broken machines, … it has nothing to justify a “red label” aside from giving you a towel. Cherry on top it s been getting dirtier (dust, cob webs, hair) and more humid (literally dripping condensation on you) - plainly avoid it.

Negatieve ervaring: I signed up for a one year membership at Trainmore. When the year ended I assumed my membership would end. It did not. I paid €395 for five months of gym membership while I never even used the gym. They know I didn't use it because they keep track of who tags in. I'm sure it said somewhere in the small print that the membership would continue after a year although they should admit that if they advertise something as a one year membership the assumption is that it will end after one year and not continue until cancelled so I think they should have made that clearer. The one star is for the nice lady at reception hearing me out, recommending me to email Trainmore to see if I could get some sort of compensation for my honest mistake that they benefitted from and even emailing them herself. It also disappointing that after 5 months paying without using the gym there was no attempt made at contacting me to see if I was aware I was still paying membership. I was not demanding all of my money back. I would have been glad to have got a free month or a quarter of the money back or something along those lines but there was nothing. I didn't even get a response to my email. They could have shown just a bit of empathy but they didn't even though I paid membership for a total of seventeen months. Edit: After Trainmore replied to this review I contacted their customer support and talked to a man named David. He told me I was entitled to no compensation whatsoever.

Negatieve ervaring: Me inscrevi nessa academia há 3 meses e ando bem descontente com os chuveiros. Tanto essa unidade como a da Koninginneweg encontro sempre chuveiros desrregulados e gelados com a água direto dos canos. Um serviço que seria para ser conveniente, acaba se tornando um transtorno no planejamento do dia. Estive na unidade da Singel na Thursday e encontrei chuveiro quente e com o sensor regulando perfeitamente. Uma pena ser longe da minha casa, senão só iria naquela unidade. Na Monday, estávamos eu e uma outra moça tomando banho e nós duas tivemos que esperar entre 5 e 10 minutos a água voltar (voltou gelada) para terminarmos nossos respectivos banhos. Foi humilhante.

Negatieve ervaring: Die blonde achter de balie is geen menselijk persoon, ipv mij te helpen om de club binnen te komen ( ik train daar al 3 jaar ) blijft ze star aan het beleid, zo iemand wil je toch niet bij een mensenbedrijf aan het werk hebben. Ik ben naar een andere train more gym gegaan, en daar ben ik wel geholpen met mij incheck probleem. Gelukkig zijn er nog wel menselijke mensen aan het werk bij train more, anders had ik me abonnement zo opgezegd.

Fantastische ervaring: Ik vind het onterecht dat de score zo laag is en de reviews zo slecht zijn. Als optimistische sporter ben ik erg tevreden over deze gym. De locatie is zo goed dat je eigenlijk niet kan verwachten dat het goedkoper of groter is. Soms dan ga ik midden op de dag sporten en zijn er maar 4-5 mensen. Ja, je moet niet om 18:00-19:00 gaan verwachten dat je een prive-gym binnenstapt. En dan nog vind ik het op piekmomenten prima te doen. Je betaald voor de locatie en de verzorgde uitstraling. Het is gewoon een premium gym. Mensen die het gaan vergelijken met basic-fit etc. zijn niet goed.
