I think the basic fit westerhaven groningen is a very good gym

Good gym, they have lots of different equipment

Only downside is Albert Heijn has better music

Very cozy and a nice place to work out with a puzzle trainer We would like to come again

Honestly I’m so thankful to the staff: (1) they helped me when I stupidly forgot that the locker rooms close after 22:15, I rang on the 24/7 service and a gentleman very fairly explained me the conditions, they pardoned the €45 fine which I am so grateful for. Not to mention I was able to get on my bike and go home, both of which would not have been possible without their amazing support staff. (2) Once I forgot my earbuds in a locker. The nice lady who works there allowed me to check in the locker I knew my stuff was in and even though there were someone else’s things in there, I was allowed to just check and voila! My earbuds are there, the person didn’t notice them since they’re black and blend with the locker. Actually the lady predicted this. This review is focused on the staff, but obviously the facility is super nice. Of course sometimes I wish there weren’t so many people but you can expect this. This location is in the heart of Groningen, a thriving city and student town. There is no clock here, people are active all the time. I’ve gone at 4-5AM, during the day, at night, there are always health enthusiasts doing their thing, which is great. :)

The nicest basic fit in the Netherlands. As an account manager I come all over the Netherlands, and have trained at (almost) all major basic fit gyms, but nothing can beat Basic Fit Westerhaven! Staff are super friendly, never difficult, always think along, and it is very pleasantly busy. Enough devices and enough ... Motivation;)

Large gym with all the equipment that 99% of the gym-go-ers would need. Staff makes sure the place is kept tidy as well.

A typical place sometimes ... to be "See and Seen". Some almost come in high heels and dress and the other in pajamas just to show. And I'm not even talking about some dudes in their package to show some extra muscles. Too funny to see ... I say worth checking ff.

Wonderfully quiet in the early morning. I prefer not to be there when the crowds increase, but that is true in all Basic Fits. Excellent equipment and space.

Great fitness centre. Super service. Very friendly. Thanks to them for allowing us in for free during our lovely 4 days vacation in Groningen. Great stuff.

The only thing i did not like is that it doesn't have a sauna.
