TrainMore Amsterdam Oosterdok biedt een uitzonderlijke sportschoolervaring met een breed scala aan hoogwaardige apparatuur en een vriendelijke, behulpzame staf. Fantastische ervaring: his gym is absolutely outstanding! The equipment is top-notch, modern, and always well-maintained, making every workout smooth and enjoyable. The staff are not only professional, but also genuinely friendly and supportive — they create such a motivating and positive atmosphere. Negatieve ervaring: This gym is killing the vibes! Lots of staff members are rude! Or not even there bc they sit with their phones in the little office. The facilities are dirty, no paper towels, or no soap. It just feels unhygienic! Whenever I went to the front desk to bring it to their attention they were not there or rude. I’m tired of this!

Fantastische ervaring: SUCH a beautiful gym!! it’s located right next to the water so you have an amazing view during cardio. overall this is just a very nice gym, spanning from the selection of equipment, the changing rooms, the SAUNA (!!) and just the general vibe and aesthetic of the place! best part i do have to say were the hosts, specifically Pavle and Renée, they were super friendly when we came in, always there when we needed something or literally just didn’t know how to use a machine, way way better than some of the other gym brands i’ve been to in amsterdam. I 100% would recommend going here to train

Negatieve ervaring: Dirty sauna in “health section”. The sauna reopened after having been closed for 2,5 years. Train More did not bother to clean and patch it up a little. The dirty stains of old sweat can still be seen in the wood paneling. No need to say the sauna smells unpleasantly. Not more space then for 4 or 5 people max, so very often there is no space left and you have to go home without using it…..
Positieve ervaring: This one is about the Pilat3s classes: The classes are great, some of the girls who teach them are incredibly kind and always willing to help with everything. They’ve even installed a large AC unit in the room, which is a huge improvement. But, and it’s a big but, spots are already very limited and can be hard to get. With the new app and the waitlist system, they’ve taken a small step in the right direction… but here comes the sad and disappointing part: out of the 13 reformer machines available, only 9 (!!) spots can now be booked per class by paying members. The instructors told me this is probably due to extra ClassPass spots being reserved. So as a paying member, I can’t even attend classes as often as I normally would. They advertise on TikTok that, as a Black Label member, you can also join classes held at Roelof Hartplein (Red Label). But when you try to book those, you get an error saying you’re not allowed to book that class. It’s really disappointing to see that ClassPass seems to be more important to them than their own loyal members.

Negatieve ervaring: Dirty, smelly, overpriced. The showrs are down right filty. There is no shower gel dispenser (too expensive?) Machines are never cleaned and grips and bars are very sticky. Staff pays no attention to the place. They are on their phone all the time. Weights and dumbels scattered round the place. They play awful music off an old playlist and very often the word n*gg*r can be heard. When I mentioned it to the staff, they said is was a “general playlist” they have no influence over…. Be wise, do not become a member here!

Negatieve ervaring: Its 36 degrees in Amsterdam this week and there is no air condition in the Trainmore oosterdok gym, when I asked if the air condition was on, there reasoning was that they can’t have it due to the building and can only have a ventilation system. All the offices and the hotels next to it have aircon and this is a new building. Trainmore market themselves as a premium gym with premium prices, I nearly passed out on the running machine here!

Positieve ervaring: Fijne sportschool. Kan op drukke tijden wel erg druk zijn. AC Airconditioning is helaas onder beheer van het gebouw, en wordt ook centraal geregeld. Ik heb in 2 maanden nu al meerdere keren monteurs aan de airco zien werken (ik vermoed om proberen de airco beter te krijgen). Trainmore is er dus van op de hoogte en kijkt er naar, maar ik denk dat het niet de juiste oplossing bied. Portable MC torens. Trainmore, overweeg om een paar portable AC torens te plaatsen zo dat tijdens de drukke tijdstippen vd dag + de warmste maanden jullie hiermee een koelere temperatuur kunnen bewerkstelligen. Sauna Is fijn, maar helaas maken veel leden er op een slechte manier gebruik van. Mensen lopen direct onder de douche vandaan zonder af te drogen de sauna in, ook met natte zwemkleding of hun vieze ondergoed. Saunavloer ligt vervolgens onder water. Veel mensen zitten ook niet op een handdoek. Sauna observatie Wellicht een vervelende taak voor personeel, maar ieder half uur/uur een keer de kleedkamer in lopen om de sauna-etiquette en kleedkamer hygiene te checken (en eventueel mensen er op aan te spreken) zou kunnen helpen tot verbetering.

Fantastische ervaring: I’ve just arrived in Amsterdam for my holiday and was on the lookout for a nearby gym. I was pointed in the direction of TrainMore, which luckily is only about five minutes on foot from where I’m staying. From the moment I stepped inside, the staff were warm, helpful, and very friendly — especially impressive given that I’m only visiting. The gym itself is modern and clean, with top-tier equipment that’s clearly well looked after. I had a fantastic training session and really appreciated the focused, energetic vibe — everyone there seemed genuinely committed to their workouts, which was inspiring. If you’re traveling to Amsterdam and want a great place to train, I’d definitely suggest checking out TrainMore.

Negatieve ervaring: They’re removed the yoga and pilates classes and converted the room into a reformer pilates studio. It’s clear they don’t care about their existing members, only about maximizing profits. Then, I upgraded to a Black Label membership just to continue attending yoga and pilates classes at Piet Heinkade. And now those are being taken away too. They are removing classes from Piet Heinkade trainmore too. I’ll be canceling my membership. There are plenty of SportCity locations across Amsterdam that still offer proper yoga and pilates classes and actually care about their members’ experience.

Negatieve ervaring: In the summer when it's hot, they refuse to turn on the AC. Believe me, I asked the front desk and they said the manager does not let them do it. Not a pleasant experience at all. 2 years ago I remember the AC used to run on full blast and it was great. I don't know what happened, but I suspect it's a cost saving tactic. I'd rather pay more than pass out in the gym.

Negatieve ervaring: 1 star for business practice, doing things legally, customer service 5 stars for scamming tho Honestly, TrainMore feels like a scam at this point. I got hit with a direct debit out of nowhere, even though they never sent me the 14-day reminder they're legally supposed to send under Dutch law. Suddenly I'm stuck with a €40 extra fee on top of due to the “free” 100 days repayment, and the collection agency is now threatening more costs if I don't pay in 7 days. I also asked them to prove that I knowingly agreed to pay back the 100-day “free” promotion if I quit early. They said it's in the terms of service — but I never saw those, and the link just updates to the newest version. How is that valid? No one replies properly, no one sends proof, and the process feels completely chaotic and aggressive. I already reached out to ACM, and I'm seriously considering legal help. This whole thing is so shady and stressful. Be careful — it looks like they rely on people not knowing their rights.

Also super disappointing that u can’t book Pilates classes, the moment they get released they’re full which is super odd. Negatieve ervaring: I signed up here around a year ago. It’s a decent gym, not too much space but does the trick. Value for money is really not there. The sauna permanently closed, classes are only pilates anymore with no chance to sign up. No change in the lack of AC. Machines are sometimes broken for a month. Some of the staff is rude. And now they moved from automatic lockers to ones where you have to buy your own lock. This was the last point that made it different for me. Now I can go back to BasicFit Plus for the music and app

Positieve ervaring: I’ve been attending the Pilates classes since they were introduced in the fall, and I really enjoy them — the studio is beautiful, and the classes are great. However, now that spring has arrived, the room gets very warm during sunny days, especially for those seated near the window in the front. It can become quite uncomfortable during the session. Besides the discomfort, the excessive heat can also lead to issues like low blood pressure or dizziness, which can affect the performance and well-being during the class. It would be great if some ventilation or air conditioning could be added to ensure everyone can fully enjoy the class without these risks. Sweating should come from the workout itself, not from the room temperature. I hope TrainMore takes this into account so we can keep enjoying the Pilates classes during spring and summer.

Positieve ervaring: I’ve been training in this gym for over 2 years and unfortunately can’t give it more than 3 stars at this point. The pros: The gym is well equipped with good quality machines and free weights It’s well maintained and renovated from time to time The stuff is helpful You can hire a private trainer Good opening hours The cons: There’s no AC. The air ventilation is very bad. Not enough air fans and they are way too small. This gym used to have a variety of classes like yoga, barre, abs training, etc. Now the only option is Pilates reformer and it’s impossible to sign up for a class. The moment it becomes available, all spots are gone. You have to balance classpass and people who actually go to your gym.

Positieve ervaring: The gym is well equipped and big, but it feels like there is no ventilation at all/no AC and on a thursday evening it was very hot inside and it felt impossible to breathe

Negatieve ervaring: Als je 1 minuut te laat bent omdat er niemand bij de balie aanwezig was sturen de mannen van de balie je weer naar huis omdat je 1 minuut te laat bent. Douches doen het ook vaak niet en over het algemeen is het personeel totaal niet behulpzaam.

Negatieve ervaring: Staff is really rude, feels too good to be there. When I activated my account the guy at the desk sighed very dramatic and rolled his eyes when I didnt understand him telling me to come in. Also the pilates classes are full the minute it comes available, I mean literally. I put an alarm and refreshed the page when the class came online and it was full.

Negatieve ervaring: The gym is great - good equipment, good staff, great PT - but it has one huge problem: ventilation! It doesn’t work well, and it always smells bad and sweaty, especially during peak hours. I've been going regularly for years, and it's always the same issue. And I’m only talking here about ventilation. The AC doesn’t seem to work at all or it is very weak, so it’s practically impossible to go to the gym on hot summer days. We’re just lucky that summers here aren’t too hot.

Positieve ervaring: Eerlijk is eerlijk, alle spullen zijn altijd netjes en goed. Alles ziet er strak uit en loopt als een trein. Locatie is misschien wel de beste van NL met prachtig uitzicht over het water. Minpuntje voor de Sauna die in bijna alle TrainMore's is weggehaald zonder het aanpassen van de tarieven.

Negatieve ervaring: I forgot some sneakers on the changing room, I went talking with the staff a few days after and they were super rude. I attempted to check a first time but the only 2 employees were having dinner, one or them briefly searched the room but upon not finding it they said “why someone would steal your dirty sneakers?” A few days later, i went to try again as it all felt very hasty.. I didn’t recognize the only staff at the entrance who was flirting with a girl. I asked him for the sneakers and he refused to look at the lost and found. All super rude, saying it “wouldn’t magically appear there”.
